Animator With a Style That is Out of This World

Adam Silva is one of Pittsburgh’s up and coming animators. Whether it’s his specific style of design or use of colors, he’s always outdoing himself.

I got the chance to interview Adam about his work and experiences and am so grateful for the opportunity.

Adam is 22 years-old, and is a media arts and animation student at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Adam says, “through AIP I’ve been able to get into some great opportunities” with things like caricatures and motion graphics.

Adam in September of 2017 was called on by KDKA-TV to create motion graphics for a one of kind event in Pittsburgh. Adam as well as two other students created original graphics that were projected onto a gown at the Technovation fashion event. He said he was really thankful for the opportunity and was inspired by “doing crazy patterns, and visuals.”

Although the Pittsburgh area doesn’t have the best opportunity for Adams field, he mentioned Animal and Shell, both media arts companies, and hopes to be employed by one of them. Adam says, “If that doesn’t work out, I’ll definitely make my own way of staying in Pittsburgh.”
